in which i write like nobodies ...reading?

so i am starting this blog (my first one, like, ever) in order to loose weight. no really. im so bored right now that i spend a rather large percentage (well, larger than usual) of my time thinking what i can stuff my face with next to keep me comforted and amused throughout these long wintry days.so really this is an attempt to amuse myself more than anything, and if an arbitrary reader is amused too, fabulous, my work here is done. cos im all about the funny.

Speaking of wasting time - I lay in bed this morning thinking up all sorts of ways to justify staying there - im sure i felt a tickle in my throat when i swallowed; im sure the rain has blocked the driveway; surely the highways will be closed off due to radical weather conditions... eventually i realised i had spent precious snoozing time (and boy is it precious) thinking so hard that I almost did make myself ill and had to drag my weary old bod out from under the covers (all 7 of them - my god its cold) and into my icy jeans.

Then with bleary eyes and a throbbing head (thanks to our smirnoff sponsors) we had a near accident on dewaal drive - we were truddling along in our lane with the rain deluging in at the window, on one side of us was this MASSIVE truck and on the other side this huge, red...well I think it was an uno actually - but it just sudddenly decided to change lanes like right in front of us. my nerves i tell you.

so after aquaplaning to work and splashing my way into my building I rushed full tilt to activate the all important coffee machine and thus started my day. Thru a haze of java steam and tired eyes I begin my blog.
